Automated External Defibrillators (AED)
are used to treat
sudden
cardiac arrest victims of which
3,000,000
people
die each year.
HeartSine® was created in 1997 specifically to develop portable automated external
defibrillators for anybody to use effectively and safely. To use an
AED in Greece you are not required by law to be a medical professional.
Anyone can use an AED, though to be 100% prepared
we recommend our
CPR and AED training
course.
HeartSine’s technology is based on a proven history of development of cardiac defibrillation
that started in the
1960s. Chief Technology Officer
and Co-Founder of HeartSine, Professor John Anderson is responsible for the
world’s first mobile defibrillator and coronary
care unit.
The Greek government has produced AED Recommendations. Worldwide there are recommendations
for AED's in schools, in public places, in corporations and at home.
The Samaritan PAD AED is appropriate for use in public areas such as schools, restaurants,
corporations, boats, yachts, ferries, aeroplanes, police, health clubs, sports teams,
places of worship, medical, dental, chiropractic offices.
Samaritan PAD Features
- Size — Smallest and lightest AED available 1.1Kg
- Durability — Highest durability ratings of any AED available (IP56
Dust & Water Rating (can be mounted on deck of boat), Military Standard Drop Test)
- Warranty — At 10 years, the samaritan PAD provides the longest device
warranty available.
- Ease of Use — HeartSine’s samaritan PAD provides clear and calm
audible prompting along with visual prompting via 3 illuminated icon displays. Many
AEDs on the market provide only audible prompting that may be difficult to hear

- Economical — Patented PadPak design provides for a single cartridge
that contains both battery and defibrillation pads with a 3.5 year standby life.
This technology provides a single expiration date for all consumables (batteries,
pads, etc). Every competitive product will require at least two (sometimes three)
separate consumable expiration dates for the customer to track.
- Upgradeable — Fully upgradeable in the field via software updates.
This ensures device will be compliant with any future AHA updates.

The HeartSine Samaritan PAD 500P with CPR Advisor is the
only AED which monitors changes in blood volume in the chest cavity to
determine if CPR is effective and instructs you
visually and audibly to push harder, or faster as appropriate. The Samaritan 500P
